JCP Regulatorios S.A.S. focuses on assisting pharmaceutical companies in complying with Ecuadorian regulatory standards, from obtaining Good Manufacturing Practices (BPM) certification to securing sanitary registrations. The new pharmacovigilance system will significantly enhance JCP’s ability to support these companies by providing a reliable platform for managing adverse drug reactions (ADRs). Key Features of the Web Application: Record Management: The system will allow the addition of records by all user profiles, while editing will be restricted and deletion will be exclusive to the administrator profile. Search Filters: Users can filter records by date, ID number, unique ADR code, and attachment name, facilitating the location of specific information. Unlimited Attachments: Attachments can be added without restrictions, improving the documentation of each case. Advanced Reports: The system will generate detailed reports with search options by name, date, ID number, unique code, and attachment names. There will be two types of reports to handle privacy: complete for doctors and with initials of names to generate lists. Publication: January 2024 SOPROEN Joins Forces with Malawi UNICEF to Enhance Emergency Social Protection Systems Lilongwe, Malawi – January, 2025 – In a significant step forward for Malawi’s social protection initiatives, the Ministry of Gender, Community Development, and Social Welfare has partnered with SOPROEN to deliver Emergency Management Information System (EMIS) services. This collaboration seeks to strengthen the nation’s capacity to respond swiftly and effectively to the needs of vulnerable communities during emergencies throughout the year 2025. Malawi continues to confront persistent challenges in poverty and vulnerability, with over half of the population experiencing multidimensional poverty. Natural disasters such as droughts and cyclones, alongside economic instability, further exacerbate these difficulties. In response, the government has prioritized the enhancement of its social protection systems, and EMIS has emerged as a vital tool in this endeavor. The system is designed to extend support rapidly to households affected by shocks, ensuring they receive targeted and timely assistance. Under this partnership, SOPROEN will ensure the seamless operation of the EMIS through regular maintenance, server upgrades, and performance monitoring. As part of these efforts, the system will be migrated to a new server at the Ministry, following a robust testing phase to guarantee stability and reliability. Ministry staff will receive hands-on training to gradually assume full responsibility for system maintenance, fostering long-term sustainability. The EMIS is central to Malawi’s emergency response efforts, streamlining processes such as data collection, duplication checks, and the preparation of beneficiary lists for aid distribution. Publication: December 2024 Design of the National Plan for the Protection of Senior Citizens’ Rights in Ecuador Quito, Ecuador – December, 2025 – Starting in January 2025, the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion of Ecuador (MIES) will begin the development of the National Plan for the Comprehensive Protection of the Rights of Senior Citizens. The consultancy, which was awarded to SOPROEN in collaboration with the Ecuadorian firm NEOPLAN, aims to address the needs of Ecuador’s senior population, currently comprising 8.97% of the total population. SOPROEN, together with NEOPLAN, a respected Ecuadorian consulting firm, will lead the effort to design and implement this crucial national plan. NEOPLAN brings extensive experience to the table with a multidisciplinary team specializing in strategic planning, organizational design, public policy evaluation, and statistical data gathering. The firm has been a key player in various sectors, offering services in marketing, urban planning, construction, and public sector consulting. The objective of this consultancy is to design a National Plan that addresses the needs of senior citizens across Ecuador. The plan will be implemented over a four-year period and will focus on areas such as health, economic security, housing, social participation, legal protection, and long term care for individuals requiring assistance. Together, SOPROEN and NEOPLAN will work closely with MIES to create a detailed and actionable plan, targeting key areas such as: Health: Ensuring senior citizens have access to essential medical services and care, with programs focused on disease prevention and healthy aging. Economic Security: Supporting senior citizens with access to pensions, social security, and opportunities for continued economic participation. Housing: Creating policies that ensure senior citizens can access safe, accessible, and affordable housing. Social Participation: Encouraging active engagement in community life through volunteer opportunities, continued education, and social activities. Legal Protection: Safeguarding senior citizens from abuse, discrimination, and all forms of violence. Long-Term Care: Developing policies for providing long-term care services, whether at home or in specialized facilities, for senior citizens in need.
